Tips for Enjoying Comicon

Fellow Science fans, Phoenix Comicon can be overwhelming! Besides camping out with us in “The Corridor of Science” (where our science panels will be all weekend in the North Building rooms 131BC and 132A) here are a few of my personal tips on attending Phoenix Comicon.

Parking is challenging during Phoenix Comicon. Last year broke attendance records with 110,000 attendees over 4 days (and remember that you will competing for spaces with other downtown events). I pre-purchased my parking through the ParkWhiz app.

My favorite food places within walking distance of the convention center are Yasda Bento, Z Pizza, Noodle Bar, Thai Basiland Even Stevens SandwichesThe Starbucks at the Convention Center West Building (outside access from 2nd St.) can have a thirty minute wait (but great place to see costumes). Other Coffee Shops near the Convention Center are Cartel Coffee Lab, One Coffee Company, SpoonZ Cafe, and Breakfast Club.

Ask Questions

The most fun you can have in our Science Track Panel Programming is to ask (lots of) questions of our researchers, engineers and scientists. Our panels are scheduled for an hour with the last 15 minutes reserved for Q&A and after our science panels end, there is still time (half an hour before the next panel starts) for you to ask questions one-on-one or ask for contact info. Panelists love questions!
