Science-Themed Animated Series Celebrated at Phoenix Comicon

Phoenix Comicon 2017 Science Track celebrates our favorite science-themed animated series from the quantum mechanics of Rick and Morty, to the The Futurama Theorem (the first known theorem to be created for a tv show) and the advanced degrees of Batman’s villains.

Wub A Lub A Dub Dub!: The Science of Rick and Morty 

Thursday May 25 6-7pm

Besides being hilarious, Rick and Morty explores strange scientific concepts such as parallel universes. In this panel, experts will discuss the science underpinning this show, and their love of Szechuan sauce.

 Good News Everyone!: The Science of Futurama             

Thursday May 25 7:30-8:30pm  

Can we ever preserve heads in jars? Is smell really the best way to explore the cosmos? In this panel, experts will discuss the science behind one of the wackier visions of the future!

I AM THE NIGHT: The Science of Batman the Animated Series

Friday May 26 1:30-2:30pm  

Batman the Animated Series is responsible for memorable characters like Harley Quinn and the reinvention of Mr. Freeze as a tragic villain. In this panel scientists and engineers will discuss what their favorite episodes of the show got right!
