Phoenix Comic Fest

RealtimeSTEAM is once again partnering with Phoenix Comic Fest (formerly Phoenix Comicon) to provide Science and Education programming during the four-day geek celebration. Scheduled for May 24-27, 2018 at the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix Comic Fest 2018 will include over 100 hours of panels, expos and interactive spaces highlighting the scientists, engineers and research institutions in Arizona that put the science in science fiction.

Arizona State Capitol Science Café: 5G and the Future of Connectivity

Arizona House of Representatives
Conference Room 035/038 (Basement)

Please join our panel of scientists, researchers and engineers for a casual Q&A session to discuss 5G mobile technology. The Fifth Generation (5G) wireless technology, with a bandwidth between 100 and 1,000 times greater than the current 4G network, is expected to be tested this year to address the future needs of the Internet of Things (IoT), 3D TV, Smart Cars and eHealth. Regulatory issues with this “unbreakable” connectivity have yet to be addressed.

This event is produced in association with Representative Mitzi Epstein by RealTimeSTEAM, an Arizona Nonprofit, specializing in producing popular science programming for the public including conferences, pop culture events, gallery installations and speaker sourcing.

Arizona Section of American Association of Physics Teachers Fall 2017 Meeting

Fall 2017 meeting will take place on September 30 at Estrella Mountain Community College. For a map and directions click here.

We will be using the EMCC maker-space – it will be a great facility for the meeting. We will have a tour and, since it is a Maker Space, we will make stuff (there is a $5 additional cost for this and it is added to this meetings fees).
